Intimate London Micro wedding in London – Shaan and Hannah

Are you planning a wedding in London?

Well you have come to the right place for ideas and plans for your London micro wedding. There is just something about shooting wedding of any size in London that I truly adore, whether its being more creative with how you shoot in a cityscape or a nice break from the stunning countryside venues I am so used to shooting. Check out Shaan and Hannah’s wedding below:

If you’re planning a Westminster Catholic Cathedral wedding, you’ll be inspired by this wedding!

When Shaan and Hannah first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so thrilled – they were planning a laid back city wedding with an intimate ceremony at the stunning Westminster Cathedral and a private space at The Vincent Rooms for the reception. Shaan and Hannah are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

The ceremony

The wedding took place at Westminster Catholic Cathedral, and was a traditional intimate ceremony. They had personal vows they’d written themselves, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then we walked through the local area, to the reception venue, while snapping couples portraits along the way.

The reception

The wedding reception took place The Vincent Rooms, just a stunning building and home to a culinary school and also close to their favourite local pub, which serves some tasty ales. It was so personal.

It was a overcast day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests hung out at the bar, we wandered around the city doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from our portrait session is one shot outside their favourite pub. Check it out below!

Testimonial

“Simon was fantastic from the moment we sent an enquiry through his website, right through to receipt of our final wedding photos. Simon offered a video meeting (this was during Covid) to introduce himself and his style of wedding photography, and it was like catching up with an old friend. We agreed terms and booked him for our small city wedding there and then!Simon met us at our wedding venue about a month before the big day to scope out the venue and get a feel for how we’d like our photos and to better understand the timetable for the day itself. He was super flexible and willing to accommodate our preferences and requests, even coming up with some novel ideas which we hadn’t thought about. He was great at keeping in touch by email and WhatsApp, it was easy to pay and use his website and it he was really clear about what he needed from us to help him do his job.On the day itself Simon was on time and just blended in with all the madness going on around him. He was incredibly helpful and reassuring during my bride’s preparation and captured some beautiful moments. He then nipped off and snapped some lovely shots of our family and friends arriving for the ceremony. Simon quietly roamed around during our ceremony and spent some time with us afterwards in the local streets around the wedding venue capturing some wonderful shots which we will treasure. He mingled in and around our reception snapping some lovely natural and informal photos.Simon is a gentleman and a talented photographer – and wonderful company over a beer or two! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him as a wedding photographer.”
